YOUR TOP TEN LIST OF THINGS TO
DO BETWEEN NOW AND ELECTION DAY
Write a letter
to the editor supporting your favorite Libertarian candidate.
DO IT NOW. See http://www.bobbarr2008.com/letters-to-the-editor-samples/
for samples.
Contact one of the Libertarian candidates in your
area to see how you can help his or her campaign. Check http://www.mi.lp.org/Shared%20Documents/candidates.aspx
or email chair@michiganlp.org for
contact information.
Print and hand out candidate slate cards to your
friends. See http://www.mi.lp.org/Shared%20Documents/slatecard1.pdf.
Send a message to your entire email address book, letting them know
you're supporting Libertarian candidates, and they can find out more at www.mi.lp.org.
Call into a talk radio
program supporting Libertarian candidates.
Point out to your friends who
are economic conservatives or Second Amendment supporters that John McCain will
lose big in
Michigan . Rather than waste
their vote by voting for the lesser of two evils, they can send a message by
voting for Libertarian Bob Barr, a true supporter of economic freedom and the
Second Amendment.
Point out to your friends who are civil libertarians
or oppose the Iraq war that
Barack Obama will win big in
Michigan . Rather
than waste their vote by voting for the lesser of two evils, they can send a
message by voting for Libertarian Bob Barr, who opposes warrantless wiretapping
of US citizens and wants to pull our troops out of
Iraq
NOW.
Make sure all supporters of Libertarian candidates you know plan to
vote. Offer them a ride to the polls, if they need
one.
Get out and vote for Libertarian candidates! (And
don't forget Libertarian nonpartisan Supreme Court candidate Bob
Roddis.)
Celebrate at your nearest Libertarian Party Election Night
Party. See the calendar at www.mi.lp.org, or organize your own and advise
webmaster@michiganlp.org, so he
can put it on the calendar.
THE BOB BARR CAMPAIGN IS
LOOKING FOR SOME GOOD VOLUNTEERS
By Stephen
Gordon, e-Campaign Manager
Because Election Day is right around the corner, it´s time for
Defenders of Liberty to ramp up our Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) efforts. While it´s
important to work with your state and local Libertarian
Party with campaign sign and door-knocking operations, we´ve got a vital
GOTV effort which you can do from inside your own house.
We´ve just
opened our virtual call center at LibertyManager.com.
From LibertyManager,
anyone can call up voters in targeted districts to encourage them to cast their
vote for Bob Barr.
When you log
in at LibertyManager on the Internet, you will receive a script that
is custom-tailored by time zone, location and political affiliation for the
telephone number LibertyManager provides for you to call. All you have to do is
log in, place a call, record your results -- and LibertyManager will automatically direct you to the next
number to dial.
The first
step is to register at
LibertyManager so you can be informed of when the next calling
campaign begins. You will be notified by e-mail when your
account has been validated and you can start persuading people to cast their
vote for Bob Barr.
GOTV calls
are a vital part of any political campaign and I
urge you to register at
LibertyManager.com today. Should you have any questions or
problems with the registration process, please call (678)
324-3240 and ask for Austin or Mikael.
