  3. LEC Should Reconsider Office Closer

I believe it would be wise for the LEC to reconsider their decision to close the State Headquarters. That being said, I do not wish to cause any ill feelings. I know running an all-volunteer organization is a difficult task, and you can’t please everyone. The libertarian party did not have an office during the 1980’s and early 1990’s. It survived that.

    Consider the following:

    * It is only $200 per month.

    * The Lansing organization is one of the most rapidly growing affiliates.

    * It is a presidential election year.

    * The at-large membership was not given a chance for input.

Finally, I have pledged $50 to keeping it open. Only 47 equal pledges needed to make it happen. Anyone who feels as I do should leave a message with:
    1-888-FREENOW .

If that doesn’t happen, then I will find myself in agreement with the majority of the LEC. There is no point keeping it if it is not valued by a small portion of the membership.

    Just another view
