  2. Federal Fund: Getting More Bang For Your Buck! — by Scotty Boman

Check this out! Donating $21 dollars to the Libertarian Party of Michigan Federal Fund (LPMFF) will allow us to spend $100 on promoting Libertarianism before the election. Donating $210 will allow us to spend $1000!
New math? Well sort of. First of all I am not claiming the additional money comes out of thin air, in fact it is money we already have, but are currently unable to spend, due to campaign finance laws.
Federal law requires that all money spent, on party promotion, by the LPM, from now until the election, be supported by a minimum of 21% from it’s federal fund. The bad news is that our Federal Fund is empty. The good news is that the LPM has thousands of dollars with which to match Federal Fund donations. This includes money that was already earmarked for radio adds. It is illegal to move money between funds. There is only one way to unleash this war-chest:
Donate today. Checks must be made out to the “LPM Federal Fund” Checks that don’t include the suffix “Federal Fund” will only go into our general fund, and will be of little help in the election. Donations can be sent directly to our mailing address: P.O. Box 27065, Lansing, MI 48924-7065
