  2. Note from the Chair — by Nathan Allen

    Tipping Point

    Will we be Ready?

An interesting book I think everyone should read is, Tipping Point by Malcom Gladwell.

In the book it is discussed how reform takes place. Reform seems like an uphill battle until you reach the summit. When we start down the other side of the mountian that we are trudging up at this point, all hell will break loose. As the Libertarian movement sometimes seems to be at a standstill, it is not. We are making inroads. When the general population finally catches on and starts electing Libertarians en masse, will we be ready to take the riegns and run qualified candidates in every race in Michigan?

I'm hoping everyone is looking forward to our Leadership Conference we have planned for early next year. We need to have well trained candidates and campaign managers ready to go as soon as the tipping point has been reached. The minutemen of today are the Libertarians. We are the last line of defense against King George and the statists. We must be sure we are poised and ready to lead at the drop of the hat.

Look for a more detailed article regarding the tipping point in our next print newsletter. Our Political Director, Leonard Schwartz, is putting together a comprehensive article regarding the eventual Libertarian success.

See you at the Leadership Conference.
