  2. Highlights of Sunday’s LEC meeting: by Tom Quinn, LEC Secretary

The following highlights are from Sunday's LEC meeting.

All LEC members were present, with approximately five other LPM members attending.

Proposed articles of incorporation for the LEC were discussed. A vote on incorporation is expected at December’s meeting.

Plans are being finalized to air radio ads promoting the LP. Approximately 5000 dollars has been received in the federal campaign fund for this effort. More donations are certainly welcome.

Liberty Fest will be held on November 13. Michael Badnarik will be the main speaker.

Concerns about ongoing database problems were discussed. However, until National gets its new Razor's Edge program up and running we will have to make do.

Next spring’s convention date has been set for April 23. It will be held at the Holiday Inn in Mt. Pleasant. Suggestions for a main speaker are welcome.

Jim Allison expects that he will receive campaign materials from the Badnarik campaign early this week. Those who would like some yard signs or other items may contact him at allison10@comcast.net.

Keith Edwards reported that he is making progress on the new operations manual for the LEC.

The next regular meeting of the LEC will be December 12.

And finally, though it does not directly involve the LPM, Chairman Donahue reported that the city of Ferndale will be voting on whether or not to conduct instant runoff elections. The Web site http://www.firv.org/ has information.
