Saturday Evening, November 15, 2003
Dear libertarian activists:
The Sam Adams Committee of the Libertarian Party of
Washtenaw County cordially invites you to the Seventh Annual
Sam Adams Dinner.
The theme of the night is libertarian comedy and satir
night, featuring renowned libertarian comedian Tim Slagle.
Tim performs regularly at Chicago comedy clubs and at
libertarian events throughout the country. Plus, three of
the LPWC's own comics will tell stories.
This is our major fund rasing event for the LPWC. The
money we raise at the Sam Adams Dinner goes to the following
projects during the 2003-2004 fiscal year:
- Financial support for the oldest continuously active
student libertarian group in Michigan and the nation--the U
of M College Libertarians/Ann Arbor Libertarian League.
- The printing and distribution of the "Washtenaw
Libertarian".
- Financial support and sponsorship of the
annual Ann Arbor Hash Bash on the DIAG of the U of M campus.
- Financial support for our annual booth in the Ann Arbor
Art Fair, an event in which we have participated since 1975.
- Financial support for our annual booth at the Ypsilanti
Heritage Festival.
- Funds for speakers' fees and
promotional literature throughout the year at our weekly
LPWC meetings held at Cubs AC restaurant at 1950 S.
Industrial Highway, Ann Arbor.
- And general funding to
promote the LPWC in Washtenaw County and across the state.
The LPWC is the oldest continuously active county
organization in Michigan and one of the oldest in the
nation. Please help us continue this fine institution that
fights for the cause of liberty on your behalf. If you are
unable to attend the Dinner, please send us a donation
instead.
