    Libertarian Party of Washtenaw County will host a speech by Dr. William Thomson. The speech is titled, "Human Rights in the Middle East--Persecution of the Palestinian". Dr. William Thomson is an Ann Arbor trauma physician and peace advocate. Dinner 7:00 pm, speech 7:30.

    The Libertarian Party of Washtenaw will feature Michael Hoban, President of the Michigan gun-rights group, Brass Roots. Hoban will describe the purpose of Brass Roots, which is to remove by the electoral process those elected officials who do not support the Second Amendment. He will also discuss how guns save lives. Open to the public.

  2. 9th District U.S. House Seat Debate by Greg Dirasian

    The candidates for the 9th District U.S. House seat will square off in a debate this month. Republican Rep. Joe Knollenberg, Democrat David Fink and Libertarian Robert Schubring will debate from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Bloomfield Township Library, 1099 Lone Pine. The forum is sponsored by the League of Women Voters, Oakland Area.
