- Following the Money Trail
by Ghazey Aleck
Want another argument for not voting for the two major
parties? Follow the money trail!
The Republicans and Democrats get a lot of the same big
money supporters.
Republicans:
Seagrams 1.6 mil
MCI 1.4 mil
Phillip Morris 6.2 mil
ADM 2.1 mil
Revlon 1 mil
Anheiser-Bush 1.1 mil
Bell Atlantic 1.9 mi
Antlantic Richfield 2.2 mil
AT&T 2.9 mil
FDX 1.5 mil
Democrats:
Seagrams 2.6 mil
MCI 1.4 mil
Phillip Morris 1.2 mil
ADM 1.2 mil
Anheiser-Bush 1.1 mil
Bell Atlantic 1.2 mil
Atlantic Richfield 1.2 mil
AT&T 1.4 mil
FDX 1.2 mil.
The two major parties' nominees are picked by these
same big money and power influences at least a year before
the election and then the money is poured into the anointed
nominees to make sure the same powers pick both nominees.
So much for making your vote count!
