    http://www.best-president.com/truck.html
(this is a large file - 174K and may take
    a while to download).

BARC 2000 beat out the Democrats in contracting this vehicle for the last day of campaigning.

Candidates and volunteers who wish to join the ElecTruc for all or part of the last day of campaigning are welcome. The itinerary will be published here within the next few days.

We are continuing to order more campaign materials as the demand and activity of our volunteers exceeds the most optimistic of our expectations. You can continue to contribute via credit card at:

Only through the generosity of our donors are we able to utilize innovative campaign tools like the ElecTruc. If you are as excited as we are by the ElecTruc, please let us know by contributing.

  3. LP Candidates in the Press by Karin Corliss

Look for two of our LP candidates in the press. Senate candidate Mike Corliss was featured in the latest Michigan Education Report, put out by the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. He, along with Abraham and Stabenow, were asked for their views on education. Corliss predicted his opponents would be promising "a Christmas list of presents" to the voters, and he was right on target. He reminds readers that these "gifts" will be paid with out of their own pockets.

Corliss' wife, Karin, has also gotten press with her bid for the US House, district 13. The October 19 Northville Record featured a full-page spread of all the candidates, with answers to a questionnaire sent by the paper. The Oct 25 Ann Arbor News will contain a piece on the candidates' views, as well. Karin has also been invited to participate in a listener call-in hour on election eve with WEMU Radio, along with the other candidates. Libertarians in the Ypsilanti area should be able to hear the program.

  4. Quotes Without Comment by Albert McCallum

"[Albert] McCallum, a retired attorney and civil engineer from Springport, is an articulate spokesman for the Libertarian Party. He advocates cooperation and persuasion to find workable solutions to problems, and creating new laws only as a last resort. While that sounds reasonable, his support for the repeal of many current laws involving property rights and other issues is too extreme for us." -- Battle Creek Enquirer, October 27, 2000

"I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue." -- Barry Goldwater, 1964
