  2. Prohibition vote close, but not close enough by Jason C. Miller

    Ottawa Libertarians Fight Alcohol Prohibition

Libertarians in Ottawa County organized to help fight for an iniative to repeal Hudsonville's ban on alcohol sales. For 10 years Hudsonville has been a try town and after a close vote it will continue to be.

Almost a dozen Libertarians handed out several hundred pieces of literature on August 7 in a get out the vote drive. Though they may have brought out voters from the other side, they did make a difference: Hudsonville's voter turnout rate more than twice that of the area.

Efforts to launch another local ballot question for the November 7 election are already starting.

  3. Meet Harry Browne at Stempfle Fundraiser by Greg Stempfle

    Fellow Libertarians,

Would you like another opportunity to meet Harry Browne in a more intimate setting? By blind luck, the Fundraiser for Greg Stempfle falls on the same day as Harry Browne's visit to Michigan. It has just been confirmed by the Browne Committee and BARC that Harry will be stopping by sometime that evening.

Libertarian Candidate for Dearborn State Representative, Greg Stempfle, already running one of the most active campaign of the year, will be having a Fundraiser/Garden Party on Sunday August 27. The event will be hosted by Ben and Anina Bachrach at thier home on 21835 Cherry Hill in Dearborn, between Brady and Military, from 3 until 8 pm. US Senate Candidate Michael Corliss will also be a guest speaker.

Stempfle is targeting his campaign efforts on younger voters and other non-traditional voting blocks in hopes of triggering the largest voter turnout in the history of the city. Let's get behind our local candidates!

Tickets to the fundraiser can be bought from Greg Stempfle, Ben Bachrach, or at the door for a libertarian-special price of $15. Food and drink provided and everybody purchasing a ticket will be entered into a raffle to win a copy of the new Harry Browne book "The Great Libertarian Offer"

For more information contact Greg Stempfle at 313-565-4407 or stempfle@hotmail.com
