An Introduction to Libertarianism, with Tim O'Brien, Executive Director of the Libertarian Party of Michigan. If you have been curious about the fastest growing alternative to the "politics as usual" of the two old parties, you won't want to miss this presentation by noted Libertarian speaker, radio commentator and newspaper columnist, Tim O'Brien. Hear a concise yet comprehensive explanation of how strong support for the right to keep and bear arms and much lower taxes is completely consistent with equally strong support for medical marijuana and the 1st amendment. Discover the profound power and plain common sense of the Libertarian ideas of individual freedom and responsibility on every issue. Learn about our American heritage and see how abandoning it in favor of the competing special interest politics of "liberals" and "conservatives" inexorably but inevitably lead our country to where we are now. Ask all of your questions during an extended Q&A session with the audience. Thursday, September 23, 1999, 7:00 PM at the Southfield Civic Center, 26000 Evergreen Road, Southfield, Michigan. There is NO CHARGE, however, seating is limited. For more information, please call 248-299-5668.
