    Libertarian Party of Michigan Advisory Council/Executive Committee meeting. Held in conjunction witht he LPM Picnic, the Advisory council consists of all members of the LPM or their proxies (proxies may be given to any LPM member planning to attend the meeting, proof of proxy is the member's membership card). A meeting of the Executive Committee is held in place of a quorum of the Council.

    The annual LPM Picnic hosted by the Tri-Cities Libertarian Party. The park opens at 11 am, and we'll be serving lunch hot off the barbeque grill between noon and one. Hamburgers and hotdogs and a vast array of side dishes will be featured. The areas only all Libertarian band, "OFF THE RECORD", will take the stage and play a couple of sets, when and if they feel like it. Your $7.50 donation covers the meal and the music. (Unless you can pass for under 12 years old, then it's only TWO BUCKS). The park charges a nominal fee for some of their activites, should you wish to participate.

    The Libertarians of Macomb County will operate an Operation Politically Homeless table and hand out LP literature at this year’s Mt. Clemens Downtown Family Festival, Friday and Saturday, August 27 and 28, 1999 - 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day. Volunteer Opportunity: We will need volunteers to man our information table during this event.

  3. Mount Clemens Downtown Family Festival

    The Libertarians of Macomb County will once again host an Operation Politically Homeless booth at the Mount Clemens Downtown Family Festival. The festival will be held Friday, August 27 and Saturday, August 28 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

    This will be our fourth year of participation in this event. We still need some volunteers to man the booth. If you are able to volunteer a few hours of your time pleas contact Al Titran at 810-776-2214 or email ALJT3@aol.com. Time slots are---10:00 - noon, noon -3:00, 3:00 - 6:00, & 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. both days. Thanks!

  4. Racchi Announces Candidacy by Mark Heil

    Rosemary Racchi, LP member and Libertarians of Macomb County At-Large Director announced her candidacy for the non-partisan Roseville City Council at the July meeting of the LMC. This should prove to be an interesting and winnable campaign. There are four seats being contested and only five candidates on the ballot including Racchi and the four incumbents.

    Racchi plans an all out campaign including mailings to registered and absentee voters and campaign signs. If you are able to make a contribution of time and/or money to her campaign contact the campaign at racchirose@aol.com or (810) 776-2214. Checks and money orders should be sent to Friends of R.Racchi, 26511 Belanger, Roseville, MI 48066. Legal limit is $500.00.
