  2. Protest on U of M Campus by Konrad Lepecki

University of Michigan will hold a conference on March 27, 1999 "Polish Round Table, 10 years later" To this conference they have invited polish communist generals who have done everything they could against human rights and democracy and finally imposing martial law in 1981! This are communist criminals against whom there are legal proceedings in Poland at this time!

Do you think that american people should sponsor with their taxes such conferences at which communist criminals are represented?

I ask you to inform that a Chicago based committee "NOT WELCOME" is organizing an action against Gen. Kiszczak, Jaruzelski and Rakowski, all communist criminals who fought against human rights and democracy. We are organzing a demonstration in Ann Arbor on the 27 of March. Meeting starts between 12 and 1pm by a parking lot on Liberty Square by Michigan Thater. We are meeting by the entrence to this parking lot by Washington Dr.

I ask you to forward this to all fellow libertarians at MSU and UofM, and also to anyone that would be interested in this matter.

    Thank you.

    Sincerely,
    Konrad Lepecki

NASHUA, NH -- The first weekly winner of The Simple Society Simple Law Contest is Jason Miller, a high school junior from Hudsonville, MI. Mr. Miller is active in the International Student Activism Alliance and a member of the Libertarian Party. He intends to pursue a career in either law or journalism.

Mr. Miller's effort proves that you can cover most of society's need for legal restraint in one page or less. Other contest entrants had different approaches but all make very good cases for simplicity.

The national contest is sponsored by The Simple Society,a non-profit organization devoted to sweeping away the barriers to human potential.

The focus of the contest: If you had to reduce all the laws and regulations to just one typewritten page, what would you keep, and why?

Entries should be short. All the laws you would write should be on the first page, followed by your reasons why? The Society retains the non-exclusive right to publish entries on its web site http://simsoc.org and elsewhere.

The contest ends April 30, 1999.
