Many candidates in November’s General Election promised change, but the residents of Ypsilanti will see real change start tonight at 6 pm. Libertarians Tom Bagwell and Larry Johnson will begin to serve their terms on the Charter Township of Ypsilanti Park Commission.

“The people of Ypsilanti will join the thousands of people across Michigan who have elected Libertarians to local office,” said Bill Hall, State
Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Michigan.  He continued, “When given the chance, Libertarians make a big difference, and are well supported in
their community.” Hall also noted that many of President-elect Barack Obama’s supporters
have already become disillusioned about his promise of change as he has announced former Clinton officials and Freddie Mac officers for key roles in his administration.

“While anyone can promise change,” Hall said, “it
is the Libertarian Party that has better ideas- from the national economy to our local parks.  The people of Ypsilanti have chosen two great people
to help lead their community.”

The Ypsilanti Park Commission will meet from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on December 8th. Meetings are held in the 1st floor conference room of the Ypsilanti Township Civic Center, located at 7200 S. Huron River Drive.
